Multiple Sources Report that Apple's Anniversary iPhone Event is Set for September 12
Although it had been rumored for days that the carriers had leaked that Apple would hold their iPhone X event on September 12, it's being confirmed today by CNBC quoting Dow Jones. Apple is expected to announce a bevvy of products, including two new iterative iPhone updates, possibly named the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus, in addition to a high-end iPhone 8." Apple is also reportedly gearing up to announce an update to Apple TV that is to support 4K and HDR10+ content standards as well as launch their next-gen Apple Watch. The added dimension to this year's keynote is that it's likely to be held in the new Steve Jobs Theater – if construction is completed.
It's interesting to note that the news of the event didn't come by way of a formal invitation to the press that has been customary for years.
