Quanta Reportedly Wins 2017 Contract for Apple Watch
Today the Chinese-language Economic Daily News reports that Quanta has won the contract for the next Apple Watch. Currently, improving battery efficiency is Quanta's main task for the new Apple Watch. While performance overall will be improved, there is little else known about the next-gen device. Even the rumors site MacRumors is unaware of a single rumor about the 2017 Apple Watch. While Apple's patent filings have indicated that there's a lot of new features in the works, timing to market is always a mystery. If battery life is to be the big feature for the next Apple Watch, then you could be sure that it means no cellular connectivity is being considered.
