Production of Apple's AirPods goes into High Gear in Multiple Shanghai Plants to Meet Consumer Demand
Yesterday CNBC cornered Apple's CEO Tim Cook on the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange while on holidays and made the comment that their AirPods are a 'a runaway success,' and promised to make more ASAP. Today it's being reported by Digitimes that "Inventec has recently started expanding capacity at its Shanghai plants in order to satisfy increasing demand for AirPods and the plants are currently working overtime to deliver orders."
Yesterday Patently Apple posted a patent report showing that Apple is already working a future version of AirPods that will use an ear-clip that integrates magnets on both sides of the ear. The magnets can attract each other through ear tissue to hold the AirPods in place even during exercise.
