Last Friday Patently Apple posted a report titled "The Day Before Apple Launches the New MacBook Pro, Microsoft will introduce their iMac Challenger." Today a new supply chain report confirms that Pegatron Technology, an Apple supply chain player is the company that will be making Microsoft's new desktop PC.
DigiTimes reports today that "Microsoft is expected to announce its next-generation Surface Pro series 2-in-1 and notebook products including the Surface Pro 5, Surface Book 2 and new Surface-brand desktops (likely all-in-one PCs), with most of them expected to be made by Pegatron Technology, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News report.
Microsoft is also expected to introduce new upgrades and functions for its Windows 10," and it's here where we may see their new 'Paint' app being introduced.
Microsoft is expected to release three models of its Surface desktops with 21"/24"/27"- display sizes. The new desktops will also feature specifically designed mouse and keyboard as well as press-sensor stylus and Perceptive Pixel multi-touch technology.
The new Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2 are expected to adopt Intel's Kaby Lake-based processors and bio-sensor technologies, the paper added.
