Apple Files Trademarks for 'SiriKit' in China and 'Touch Bar' in the US
Today the Hong Kong Patent and Trademark Office revealed that Apple filed for 'SiriKit' and 'Touch Bar' trademarks. At the same time, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office published two of Apple's trademark filings for 'Touch Bar' under both International and U.S. Classes. Apple's new 'Touch Bar' feature was introduced last Thursday during a special Apple Event covering their new MacBook Pro.
Apple's Trademark Application In-Part for 'SiriKit'
International Class 9: Computer software used in developing other software applications; application development software.
International Class 42: Design and development of computer software; computer software consulting services; support and consultation services for developing computer systems, databases and applications; providing computer software information online.
Apple Files for 'Touch Bar' Trademarks in the US
Apple filed two trademark applications for 'Touch Bar' in the U.S. under numbers 87216818 and 87216639 covering international class 9 for computer hardware and class 28 for games and television.
In addition, Apple's U.S. filing for 'Touch Bar' included the following US specific classes:
Class 21: Electrical apparatus, machines, and supplies
Class 22: Games, toys, and sporting goods
Class 23: Cutlery, machinery, and tools, and parts thereof
Class 26: Measuring and scientific appliances
Class 36: Musical instruments and supplies
Class 38: Prints and publications
Class 50: Merchandise not otherwise classified
Apple also filed for the Touch Bar trademark in Hong Kong under application 303942919 under the same International classes 9 and 28.
