Apple Settles Litigation with Group behind OpenTV
In 2015 OpenTV sued Apple over content streaming as part of an interactive television system and more. One year later and the Swiss based company OpenTV won their case against Apple. The ruling from the Dusseldorf District Court said "Apple products sold in Germany must not use streaming software which infringes OpenTV's patents." Today the Kudelski Group that's behind OpenTV settled their litigation with Apple.
A simple press release issued today stated that "The Kudelski Group announced today that it has entered into a comprehensive patent license agreement with Apple Inc. Under the agreement, the parties agreed to dismiss all pending patent litigation. Financial terms were not disclosed."
