Apple Granted RTM Certificate for 'Final Cut Pro' & Files for Figurative TM 'Read it on Apple News'
Today the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office published Apple's latest trademark application for the figurative version of 'Read it on Apple News' that was originally filed last week. Apple also received a Registered Trademark certificate today for 'Final Cut Pro' that was granted earlier this week.
Figurative TM: 'Read it on Apple News'
Apple's trademark application was filed under three distinct International Classes that carry the following specific verbiage:
International Class 009: "Computer software for accessing, searching, browsing, displaying, reading, recommending, sharing, posting in social media, organizing, annotating, and archiving content from newspapers, periodicals, blogs, and websites, news, sports, weather, commentary, and other information, and other text, data, graphics, images, audio, video, and multimedia content; electronic publication reader software; application development software; computer applications for accessing, searching, browsing, displaying, gathering, reading, recommending, sharing, posting in social media, organizing, annotating, saving, archiving, and providing information in the field of entertainment, music, sports, news, and arts and culture."
International Class 041: "Providing websites and computer applications featuring information in the field of entertainment, music, sports, news, and arts and culture."
International Class 042: "Computer services, namely providing a user-customized feed of news, sports, weather, commentary, and other information, content from periodicals, blogs, and websites, and other text, audio, video, and multimedia content; providing search engines for obtaining data via the internet and other electronic communications networks; providing online non-downloadable application development software, and support and consultation services for developing computer applications; providing on-line non-downloadable computer applications for accessing, searching, browsing, displaying, gathering, reading, recommending, sharing, posting in social media, organizing, annotating, saving, archiving, and providing information in the field of entertainment, music, sports, news, and arts and culture."
RTM: Final Cut Pro
Apple filed for the 'Final Cut Pro' trademark back in July 2015. Today it was made public that on May 3 Apple received their RTM certificate for the trademark as noted above. According to the App Store, the last update was issued on Feb. 04, 2016.
Apple's Final Cut Pro RTM was filed on the single International Class 009 with the following verbiage: "computer software for creating, editing, processing, organizing, importing, exporting, and encoding video, movies, motion picture films, and multimedia content; computer software for creating, editing, processing, organizing, importing, exporting, and encoding audio, music, and sound content; computer software for creating and editing digital animation, graphics, and special effects; computer software for color correction of video and multimedia content; computer software for creating, processing, exporting, and encoding digital media."
