Apple and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) are working together to help protect life on our planet with the global Apps for Earth campaign. Through April 24, WWF will receive 100% of the proceeds from participating apps in the App Store via both the purchases of any paid apps and the In-App Purchases created exclusively for the campaign.

WWF is honored to participate in Apps for Earth and grateful for the support its mission will receive. The 27 participating apps feature new content celebrating WWF's global conservation work in key focus areas: forests, oceans, fresh water, wildlife, food and climate.

WWF's own app, WWF Together, is participating in Apps for Earth with brand new content. Now alongside stories of the world's most amazing animals, you can purchase the story of Earth.

Lisa Jackson, Apple's vice president of environment, policy and social initiatives told Reuters that "We have been putting quite an emphasis these past few years on environmental initiatives at Apple, really trying to walk the walk with respect to our own operations and how we make and recycle our products. This is about engaging our customers in our work."
