Last May we posted a report titled "Extensive Report: OpenTV Sues Apple over Content Streaming as part of an Interactive Television System & More." The Swiss based company had sued Apple for infringing five of their patents. The suit identified Apple's infringing products and services as including iOS mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, and iPod), Apple TV, App Store, and OS X-based personal computers. Today Reuters reports that Apple has lost this case.

Reuters reported late today that "A German court has ruled against Apple Inc in a case over video streaming patents, handing Kudelski's OpenTV unit a victory in its ongoing intellectual property licensing campaign against major technology companies.

The ruling on Tuesday from the Dusseldorf District Court said Apple products sold in Germany must not use streaming software which infringes OpenTV's patents."
