Today Apple's unapologetically plastic iPhone is dead, long live metal! Apple sold 30 million iPhone 5s units in 2015 and Apple expects even more with the introduction of the new iPhone SE. Apple's new official entry level iPhone packs solid specs for those that are still in love with a smaller 4" display. It runs Apple's top 64bit A9 processor and M9 co-processor, offers a new 12 Megapixel iSight Camera along with a front flash for capturing better selfies and it all starts at US$399 for 16GB and $499 for 64GB.

The new iPhone SE has a processor that's equal to the iPhone 6s and 2x the iPhone 5s and 3x the GPU of the iPhone 5s and equal to iPhone 6s; So by no means is the iPhone SE about being a 'budget' iPhone. It's simply updating a classic design that has a popular following with those who prefer the one-hand controllable design along those with smaller hands and professional women – where big isn't always better. For more details, see Apple's webpage here and their press release here. Thus far Apple has yet to publish a new promotional iPhone SE promotional video, but you can watch the iPhone SE introduction beginning at the 30 minute mark of Apple's special event keynote here.

Apple has updated a few apps for iOS 9.3 published today that you could learn about here. One of the updated apps is CarPlay that could now offer a 'nearby' feature in Maps that lets you find gas, parking, restaurants, coffee, and more with a tap. So you'll know the best places to stop, whether you're on your daily commute or an epic road trip. This is a patent fulfilled.

I vividly remember going to my local Apple Store shortly after Apple introduced their new iPhone 6 with 4.7" and 5.5" displays. It was interesting to see many fans trying out the larger displays and moaning that they were mixed on about the larger displays and would miss their 4" iPhone 5s. I'd say that nine out of ten women at the Apple Store that morning were flashing their sexy gold finished iPhone 5s's and gave the larger iPhone displays two thumbs down. Today, Apple's powerful new iPhone SE is going to put a smile on a lot of fans who wanted to keep the 4" model. Yes, the iPhone SE: A Classic design reborn.
