Apple Files for 'Apple True Tone' Trademark in Europe
On Monday, as the European Patent and Trademark Office was in the process of changing its name over to EUIPO, they published Apple's latest trademark filing for 'Apple True Tone.' Apple's True Tone technology covers their True Tone flash as well as their new True Tone Display that was introduced with the 9.7" iPad Pro. Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing stated in a press release on Monday that the new True Tone display "uses new four-channel sensors to dynamically adjust the white balance of the display to match the light around you for a more natural and accurate, paper-white viewing experience."
Apple's TM Application In-Part for 'Apple True Tone'
According to EUIPO documentation, the trademark was officially filed under International Class 009. Apple's filing presented the following specific verbiage for this class as follows:
