Apple Granted Four USB-C MacBook Related Design Patents
On Friday the Hong Kong Patent and Trademark Office published four newly registered / granted design patents for Apple relating to the MacBook's USB-C port.
Unlike "patent applications," design patents published by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and/or any other Patent Office, don't reveal pertinent information about a particular design. All we are given is a series of simple photos and/or line-art graphics of what was actually registered.
Hong Kong Granted Design Patent 1501914.6M001
The Hong Kong Patent and Trademark Office as granted Apple a design patent for the MacBook's USB Type-C port as noted in the figures below.
Apple was also granted 3 additional design patents for their USB-C port in various stages as noted below in design patent numbers 1501914.6M002 – 6M004.
