Over the last 6 weeks our Patently Mobile blog has posted three patent reports (one, two and three) showing that Samsung is pushing full steam ahead on developing next-gen foldable smartphones and tablets. We learned today that the US Patent Office has published yet another Samsung patent application last week that's quite extensive. Our Patently Mobile report published earlier this morning briefly points out Samsung's overview of a tri-fold smartphone device and even foldable tablet that designed to support multiple operating systems depending on the app that is in use at the time. In many ways the basic hardware concept appears to have been copied, which isn't surprising for the world's fastest copycat. For more on this see our full report here.
