Today the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office published one of Apple's latest trademark filings for 'Genius Grove.' The actual filing date is noted as being January 22, 2016. A Google search for the term produced zero results. While it's not officially known what Apple may have in mind for this, their filed International Classes would strongly suggest that it's some form of 'Genius Bar' service extension. Also this week, Apple filed for 'Apple 3D Touch' along with the simpler '3D Touch' in Hong Kong and Europe.

Apple's Trademark Application In-Part for 'Genius Grove'

According to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's documentation, the trademark was officially filed under three distinct International Classes as follows:

International Class 035: Retail store services featuring computer, electronic and entertainment products, telecommunications apparatus, mobile phones, smartwatches, handheld mobile digital electronic devices, wearable electronic devices, and other consumer electronics, computer software, and accessories, peripherals, and carrying cases for such products; product demonstrations provided in-store

International Class 037: Maintenance, repair, and servicing of computer hardware, computer peripherals, and consumer electronic devices; technical support and troubleshooting services for computer hardware, computer peripherals and consumer electronic devices.

International Class 041: Conducting and presenting seminars, workshops, and classes in the field of computer, electronic and entertainment products, telecommunications apparatus, mobile phones, smartwatches, handheld mobile digital electronic devices, wearable electronic devices, and other consumer electronics, computer software, and accessories and peripherals for such products.

The trademark was also file in Hong Kong under application 303668167 under the same International Classes.

In other Apple IP news today, we see that Apple has filed for the '3D Touch' trademark in both Hong Kong (under application # 303670236) and Europe (under application #015040769) where Apple also filed for 'Apple 3D Touch', as noted below. Update Feb.2, 2016: Apple's U.S. filing surfaced days later though dated Jan. 28, under application number 86890102 under International Class 009.
