Apple iPhone Chassis Maker hits new High on iPhone 6s Orders
Metal-alloy chassis maker Catcher is a main supplier of chassis used in MacBook, iPhone and iPad. Today a supply chain report states that Catcher reported a November record with NT$8.34 billion (US$254 million) which represented year-over-year growth of 50.3%. Analysts attributed Catcher's sustained success to big casing orders from Apple for its 4.7-inch iPhone 6S and 5.5-inch iPhone 6S Plus, which were launched in September. If true it would contradict recent rumors of iPhone 6s production slowdowns. At an investors' conference held last month, Catcher chairman Allen Horng said the company would see "very visible" sales growth in the fourth quarter.
