Financial Times Video Report: Apple Turns its Attention to India
In a new report today it was pointed out that "India was mentioned three times in Apple's latest annual report compared with 27 for China. The company plans 40 Chinese retail stores by the end of 2016. In India, it is yet to open a single one." The Financial Times of course fails to mention that the Indian Government is refusing to bend the rules and let Apple open their own stores until Apple produces their popular devices in their country. The good news is that rumors have surfaced hinting that Foxconn may be building an iPhone plant in India in the not-too-distant future and Apple's CEO met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in San Jose in late September. The Financial Times video report provides you with the heart of their written report that you could read here.
