The Apple Watch officially launched on April 24, 2015 in three variants including Apple Watch, Apple Watch Edition and Apple Watch Sport. Earlier this month Apple introduced watchOS 2 along with new colorful band choices as noted above including PRODUCT(RED)™. Today the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office published Apple's Registered Trademark (RTM) certificate that was awarded yesterday for the stylized Apple Watch Sport logo (or technically a 'Design Mark') as noted in our cover graphic.

Apple filed their trademark under international class 14 which covers the following specifically: "Horological and chronometric instruments; watches; timepieces; chronographs for use as timepieces; chronometers; watchstraps; watch bands; cases for watches, and horological and chronometric instruments; parts for watches, and horological and chronometric instruments."
