Microsoft Bing is testing a new iOS app called 'NewsCast' that uses text-to-voice technology to help iOS users catch up on the news while on the go. Neowin, who first reported on the app a few days ago, reports that the app is designed to give you a "more productive commute" with short 30-second summaries of news stories that are read aloud.

NewsCast allows you to listen to the news you want while you are driving, each article is 30 seconds in length, and you will be able to customize the feed to achieve the right balance of local and global news. According to Neowin, there are two voices that alternate when reading each story and you can save articles for review later as well.

The app isn't available at the Apple Store yet and so you have to download the app at Microsoft's site here. The app at the moment is only for iOS users and is still being internally tested – so users beware.
