The Apple + IBM MobileFirst Homepage graphic has been changed today to reflect the Healthcare Industry. The MobileFirst app shown in the graphic is one titled "Hospital RN" that keeps patient data live for doctors and nurses. In addition, Apple has added updates to three key apps covering Healthcare, Energy and Utilities and Public Safety with Apple Watch push notifications.
The updated verbiage for the "Public Safety" app noted below states: "And in tight situations, public safety officials can receive urgent alerts right on Apple Watch."
The updated verbiage for the "Energy and Safety" app as noted below states: "And with Apple Watch, field technicians can view important alerts, without stopping what they're doing. The intuitive user interface on iOS makes it easy to get field teams up and running in no time."
The updated verbiage for the "Healthcare" app as noted below states: "Push notifications on iPhone and Apple Watch alert nurses to review new patient requests, changes in lab status, safety alerts, and prioritized task lists for immediate action. And Apple Watch lets nurses quickly view notifications so they can stay more focused on patient care."
The Homepage graphic will rotate over time to cover all of the fields that the MobileFirst alliance is focused on which are listed as follows: Healthcare; Industrial Products, Banking and Finance; Travel and Transportation; Retail; Insurance; Energy and Utilities; Telco, Social Programs and Public Safety. Today Apple added a new entry for Public Safety.
