Apple Beats Chevron as Largest Public Company in the Bay Area
It's being reported today that the Bay Area technology sector's vigorous march to the future reached a monumental milestone during 2014. For the first time in at least 15 years, San Ramon-based Chevron is no longer the Bay Area's largest public company, measured by revenue; it's Apple. Chevron's revenue clocked in at $192.31 billion while Apple surpassed them with revenues of $199.8 billion. For more on this, see the full San Jose Mercury Press report.
