Apple's R&D Center in Yokohama on Track for the end of 2016
In December we reported that Japan's Jiji news service covered Japan's Prime Minister Abe Shinzo announcing that Apple would be building a cutting-edge R&D facility in the city of Yokohama and that it would be on par with Apple's Biggest R&D centers in Asia.
Today at a press conference held at Yokohama's City Hall it was revealed that the new Apple R&D center would be 25,000 square meters (269,098 square feet or approx. 6.2 acres). It's expected to be completed by the end of 2016. The news of the specifics of this facility was actually reported on back on March thirteen by World of Apple News.
