Samsung Invents Future Displays with Bendable Device Controls
In November Samsung's VP of the Business Strategic Team at Samsung Display, Kwon Oh-hyeon, threw a Hail Mary at investors during their Samsung Investor Forum in New York. Oh-hyeon told the crowd that by the end of 2015 they would be able to deliver products with foldable displays. While Samsung has been working on new kinds of foldable and flexible displays and devices for years, it's still unknown as to which type of display or foldable device that Oh-hyeon was referring to specifically.
This week Patently Mobile discovered that Samsung is still working on this project full steam ahead with a new invention relating to bendable device controls. As noted below, by bending a future smartphone in a certain manner, a user looking at a photo could bring up the editing UI to make corrections to the photo quickly.
