Apple Granted Five Design Patents Today
Apple was granted five design patents today. The one that stood out from the pack was design patent (D720,082) for Apple's upcoming two-story San Francisco Flagship Store overlooking Union Square.
Apple credits the following engineers for this design patent: O'Callaghan; James (Winchester, GB), Coult; Graham (Milford, GB), Marinov; Vladimir (London, GB), Lenk; Peter (Chatham, GB), Behling; Stefan (London, GB), Summerfield; David (London, GB), Nelson; David (London, GB), McGrath; James (Cupertino, CA), Ridsdill-Smith; Roger (London, GB), Bishop; James (London, GB), Bertram; Rafe (London, GB), Bridger; Robert (Woodside, CA), and Siegel; Jonathan P. (San Francisco, CA). The design was filed for in February 2014.
The other four design patents covered a Maps UI, a separable virtual keyboard, an Apple Store EarPod stand and the iPad's Smart Cover.
