National Geographic Photographer Thinks that the iPhone 5S Panorama Feature is Intoxicating

PA - Title Bar - News
Jim Richardson is an American photojournalist working primarily for the National Geographic Society and as a social documentary photographer. Richardson is also a contributing editor of National Geographic Traveler magazine, where he has contributed both writing and photographs. His latest project for National Geographic was taking photos on a trip to the Scottish Highlands with only an iPhone 5S as his camera. As a photographer who is a diehard Nikon fan, he wasn't sure what to expect. The results opened his eyes to just how good the iPhone 5S really is.

Richardson's review of the iPhone was quite surprising for a professional photographer. According to the report, Richardson stated the he "discovered that the iPhone 5S is a very capable camera. The color and exposures are amazingly good, the HDR exposure feature does a stunningly good job in touch situations, the panorama feature is nothing short of amazing—seeing a panorama sweeping across the screen in real time is just intoxicating."

I don't know about you, but that sounds like a very strong endorsement of the iPhone 5S camera if I ever heard one. You could check out Richardson's photos here. By the way, Apple's VP of Worldwide Marketing Phil Schiller dubs it "iPhoneography."
