Icahn Tweets, Apple's Stock Goes Up
Good news for Apple shareholders today. A simple tweet from billionaire investor Carl Icahn sent Apple Inc. shares up close to five per cent on Tuesday. Icahn, who earlier this year made a bid to take over Dell, suggested Apple should buy back more stock.
Icahn's tweet read: "We currently have a large position in APPLE. We believe the company to be extremely undervalued. Spoke to Tim Cook today. More to come."
Apple's stock ended up 4.75% for the day at the close of the market.
