Internet Security Firm Claims that Apple's iPhone 4S Violates their Patent

1 - VirnetX vs. Apple
In August 2010 VirnetX Holding Corporation, an Internet security software and technology company filed a legal complaint against Apple, Cisco, NEC, and Aastra for infringing on a series of patents related to internet security. VirnetX is in a strong position with the 3GPP being that the security related to new the SIP protocols being incorporated into the 4G specification is theirs. Today, VirnetX has filed a second patent infringement lawsuit against Apple regarding secure communications on devices like the iPhone 4S. Yes, the iPhone 4S that's only been out since October 4, 2011. Odder yet is that VirnetX's patent was only granted to them this morning!

The US Patent and Trademark Office officially published a series of 14 newly granted patents for Apple Inc. today. In our final granted patent report of the day we take a look at a secret patent that Apple acquired from France four years prior to the iPhone coming to market. The patent basically relates to a system for testing a mobile telephony network. By acquiring the patent in France, it never entered the US patent system for the press to get wind of Apple's secret iPhone project intentions – until now.

In our fourth granted patent report of the day we take a look at a patent that may one day provide 3D Motion to Apple's Mighty Mouse, to their Apple TV Remote, the iPhone and perhaps even a gamepad. The second granted patent that we review today touches on the iPhone's capability of interfacing with high tech gym equipment to monitor your vitals at a higher degree.

The US Patent and Trademark Office officially published a series of 14 newly granted patents for Apple Inc. today. In our third granted patent report of the day we cover two new high profile multi-touch related patents which cover Front-End Signal Compensation & Method for Forming a Crystalline ITO on top of a Nonconductive Substrate. The primary multi-touch patent presented today was originally filed in the very same month that Steve Jobs first presented us with a peek at their revolutionary smartphone simply called the iPhone back in January 2007.

The US Patent and Trademark Office officially published a series of 14 newly granted patents for Apple Inc. today. In our first report of the day we covered the three iPod design patents that Apple received. In our second report of the day we cover two additional granted patents that focus on Apple's Mini DisplayPort and a unique range of iPod docks that includes one for integrating an iPod into a MacBook and a spin off idea designed to turn an iPod into a personal transmitter system acting both as a limited range Walkie Talkie and means of allowing a central iPod within a group to act as a DJ system for those at closed events like a ski resort or other facility.

Apple Wins Design Patents for the Multi-Touch iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle +

On November 01, 2011, the US Patent and Trademark Office officially published three new Industrial Design Patent wins for Apple covering the new multi-touch iPod nano, the iPod shuffle and previous generation iPod nano. It's definitely a big iPod design day for Apple.
