Apple Wins Design Patents for the Multi-Touch iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle +

On November 01, 2011, the US Patent and Trademark Office officially published three new Industrial Design Patent wins for Apple covering the new multi-touch iPod nano, the iPod shuffle and previous generation iPod nano. It's definitely a big iPod design day for Apple.  

 

Apple Wins Industrial Design for the iPod Nano with Multi-Touch UI

 

Apple has won a design Patent for their sixth generation iPod nano which debuted in September 2010. This is Apple's first generation of iPod nano with Multi-Touch.

Apple credits VP Industrial Design Jonathan Ive and team members, Jody Akana, Bartley Andre, Jeremy Bataillou, Daniel Coster, Anton Davydov, Daniele De Iuliis, George Fino, Evans Hankey, Richard Howarth, Duncan Kerr, Shin Nishibori, Matthew Dean Rohrbach, Peter Russell-Clarke, Christopher Stringer, Eugene Whang, Policarpo Wood, and Rico Zorkendorfer as the inventors of Granted Patent D647,919, originally filed in Q3 2010. New Designers on Apple's Industrial Design Team are highlighted above in darker gray.
