Apple Files Trademarks for iPod Classic, iPod Touch, more
On September 18, the US Patent & Trademark Office published four of Apple's latest trademark applications pertaining to their iPod Classic, iPod touch, iTunes and MainStage which was first posted in Hong Kong and reported by Jack Purcher yesterday. Apple's iTunes trademark application expands to now cover Telecommunication Services and Search Engines which relate and extends to Apple's iPhone as well.
Apple's iPod Classic
Apple has filed for the 'Pod touch' trademark with the US Patent & Trademark Office under application 77277704. It's duly noted in the application that Apple claims Priority based on a Foreign Filling made on June 21, 2007 in the Netherlands under application 700284. Apple filed the trademark under International Class 009 as noted below.
International Class 009: Portable and handheld digital electronic devices for recording, organizing, transmitting, manipulating, and reviewing text, data, audio and video files; computer software for use in organizing, transmitting, manipulating, and reviewing text, data, audio and video files on portable and handheld digital electronic devices.
Apple's iPod Touch
Apple has filed for the 'iTunes' trademark with the US Patent & Trademark Office under application 77277633. Apple now expands their international classification that was earlier noted in their May 2006 trademark application 78874759 as being class 35. Apple now adds International Classes 038, 041 and 042 as noted in full below.
