Today the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office published Apple's latest registered trademarks (RTM) for the OS X iBooks icon and "ResearchKit" that were officially granted on Tuesday. Apple updated the iBooks icon for OS X Yosemite back in 2014. On March 9, 2015, Apple announced ResearchKit, an open source software framework designed for medical and health research, helping doctors and scientists gather data more frequently and more accurately from participants using iPhone apps.
