Korean consumers are increasingly voicing their great displeasure over rumors that Samsung Electronics is set to soon roll out a new variation of the Galaxy S4, the latest version of its flagship Galaxy smartphone line-up, which will access the so-called LTE Advanced network.
The Korean report quotes one Samsung customer as saying that he might not have purchased the Galaxy S4 and waited for the newest model (the Galaxy S4 Advanced LTE network) if he knew that his smartphone wasn't going to run on the new LTE Advanced network.
LTE Advanced is the new wireless connectivity medium that offers speeds that are much faster than the current generation 4G LTE. With LTE Advanced, you can get theoretical download speeds of up to 3Gbps and upload speeds of up to 1.5Gbps. It's rumored that South Korea's leading wireless carrier SK Telecom is preparing to release the faster Galaxy S4 as early as July.
With Wall Street downgrading Samsung due to disastrous Galaxy S4 sales, Samsung is under the gun to do something to stimulate sales for their flagship smartphone. The new faster S4 model will only be available in Korea.
